Dream within a dream

Took advantage of the heat and spent the day outside. Started off cleaning out my car, which I think was getting a bit smelly because it was pretty much turning into a trash can. Swam for the first time this summer, floating on my back watching the clouds. Later, while I was sitting on the deck eating lunch, my mom noticed a 1800Flowers truck pulling into the driveway. A dozen white roses and a Congrats! balloon from B. I’m so lucky – he never ceases to surprise and amaze me.

Then came the rain, dark skies and 80 mph winds. Crazyness…the storm blew in in about 5 minutes and we headed to the basement as a tornado warning scrolled across the TV.  15 minutes later I was back up stairs talking to B online and shopping online for dresses and a new swimsuit.

Now I’m laying on my freshly washed sheets, watching The Princess Bride (one of the best movies EVER) and listening to my dad’s band rock out in the basement.

Perfect day…so thankful.

Everything is alright

Spent the day sitting on the deck reading The Secret. I’m kind of into it. What can I lose believing I can have everything I ever want? I’d say it’s worth a chance. For the last year I’ve been focused on buying a house and now with my raise I’ll be able to. My goal was to buy a house before I turn 25 and I never for a second thought I wouldn’t be able to do it. I’m very much looking forward to celebrating a quarter century in MY house

I was outside for 3 or 4 hours and ended up with a bit of sun burn. After reading I walked about 3 miles. Stole my sisters iPod holder and listened to MCS, which really makes me power walk. I need to get my own because I have very small arms and I have to wrap it around twice to attach the velcro. Or I could build up some huge guns to remedy the problem.

Now I’m watching the Pistons game and thinking about the Nutella/peanut butter covered banana I have in the freezer.

The sports announcers are talking about godaddy.com for some reason. One dude said he wonders what kind of information is on that website and he’s going to check it out when he gets home….I think he’ll be a little disappointed because it’s just a bunch of nerdy website stuff.

And now in keeping with The Secret, here’s my gratitude list:

+ quiet day alone + sunny and warm + cuddly kitten + ducks hanging out by the pool + veggie blt + cute texts from B + walking + listening to MCS + Pistons + 2 more days off + positive thinking + talking to B before I fall asleep
